Dr. Betts offers all-laser LASIK for nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism. He is also a leader in cataract surgery and offers intra-ocular implants that reduce and even eliminate the need for glasses in many of his patients. He has experience with multiple premium lenses, including Crystalens, Tecnis Multifocal, Panoptix, and Trulign Toric. Dr. Betts has participated in many clinical trials, including those for lens implants and contact lenses. Dr. Betts has tremendous experience in helping former LASIK, RK and PRK patients in need of cataract surgery.
He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons. Dr. Betts is committed to teaching the next generation of eye care providers and is also an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology for the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences Northwest Campus.
Dr. Betts was recognized in the prestigious group of 40 under 40 from the NWA Business Journal for his outstanding business leadership and contribution to the Northwest Arkansas community.
What is the RPh behind Dr. Betts’ name? He is a registered pharmacist and practiced both retail and hospital pharmacy prior to and during medical school. He met his wife, Kim who is also a pharmacist, while in pharmacy school.
Dr. Betts is active in his church and his children’s activities. In his spare time, he enjoys running, golf, fishing, home improvement projects and spending time with his family. He and his wife have three precious children.
